I have a 73 challenger with a 440 and a single plane intake the engine turns over but really rough. I don’t really have time too take the spark plugs out so I’m wondering if I can just pour some oil down the intake manifold and turn the motor over to get it in the cylanders
Can someone enlighten me? Is this how oil is added to the engine?
It’s fifty years old. If you take shortcuts yer gonna have a bad time. Pull the plugs.
No, you’re just going to make things worse
Just use fogging spray.
I wouldn’t, if too much goes into one cylinder you could hydrolock it. You can use 2 cycle gas and try starting it, will provide some lubrication to the rings.
You don’t deserve it
You know what lubricates the cylinder well? Running the engine, why don’t you just start it? If the engine turns over rough I don’t think oil in the cylinders will help
I don’t quite understand how you claim to not have time to do it, but then spend time writing this post about it and answer the comments on top of that lol. You coulda had all 8 plugs in your hands already.
You’ve obviously never worked on a 440
