Hello,

Quick question, just to make sure I don’t do anything stupid. I got a Mazda 2 Skyactiv G 1.5L here in europe. The ‘original 0W-20 oil’ is hard to find for me. I was wondering if I could use this

Mobil 1 ESP X2 0W-20 oil:

This product meets or exceeds the requirements of:

API SL

ACEA C5

ACEA C6

API SN Engine Test Requirements

API SN PLUS ENGINE TEST REQUIREMENTS

API SP ENGINE TEST REQUIREMENTS\

The manual of the Mazda states the following:

This should be ok, right?

You can also inquire on the price of and buy the oil from the dealership if it’s not an insane markup while still being able to change it yourself.

API SN Plus would indicate so as that is the most recent standard.

But I would recommend Pennzoil Platinum at minimum. Mobil 1 ESP is not bad oil but the testing I’ve seen indicates Pennzoil to be better. I bought the Ultra Platinum 0W-30 (because I have the turbo) in a 3-pack of 5 Qt jugs and the per qt cost comes out to $5.40 USD. Not bad for one of the best oils out there.
