Just bought a 2015 4s for around 40k and was just wondering what you guys think of it? Overall I love it but it does feel awkwardly big. I’m also not a fan of the back side of it. It’s amazing to drive so far and I’m super excited to drive it more, but wondering what the overall consensus of the Panamera is on here? Thanks in advance!
It’s a cruser not a sports car. Love the truismo version….
Fugly rear, till the 971 generation came along in 2016. As you say, it is awkwardly large. It means you often only have one way to place the car in the corners and it’s usually not the fastest.
For me it’s too big and too heavy, and the V6 cars make next to no noise at all.
I love panameras. Drove a few when I worked at a dealership and man they’re amazing cars. I want to buy one under $40k as well but I currently drive an EV and I’m in Ca so I love not paying $6 a gallon lol. So most likely wait a while before I consider buying one but I would love one in the future. I also watched a lot of YouTube videos made by panamera owners and most of them say they’re reliable so that’s a plus
Have a 2014 S e-hybrid - love it. Best car I’ve ever owned. So comfortable and the hybrid portion allows me to feel less guilty (on the engine, not the environment) if only going around the corner to the shop and back!
I got a 2017 Panamera Turbo a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. It’s a phenomenal road trip car and getting to share the performance of a Porsche with friends is a ton of fun. It performs incredibly well for a car of its size and weight.
Anyone drove this and the S class can comment on comfort difference between them?
Love mine. 970 turbo. Looks fine to me especially when I’m on the inside. I hardly ever drive my Cayman anymore. Fastest car I’ve ever driven and has a smoothness that’s hard to describe. Loaded, 168k new, cost me 24k plus full 120k maintenance, leaky air shock replacement, and new brakes and rotors all around. So I’m in +~32k. Drove the PCH 101 and it was glorious. Drive to Walmart and it’s a blast.
Take a look at the interior of a 2017 971. If it were to come out today, nobody would complain about it looking old. IMO it has aged the best out of any Porsche from that time.
I have a 2018 base panamera. 140k KM. Not much major issues. Previous audi a7. I love this car. My morning commute gets a bit more exciting
I love the wagons
I used to hate them but they’ve grown on me quite a bit and now I like them.
Fingers crossed you don’t experience air suspension leaks.
I bought a 2014 Panamera Turbo S last month and it’s an amazing daily driver. Fast as hell, really comfortable, Burmester sound system is great. PCCB’s are sweet. Enough trunk space for Costco runs. Don’t think you can find a better car for $45-60k. MSRP was $223k, so brutal depreciation for whoever previously owned it but glad they took the hit for me.
The new one is nice. The older model looks like a shitting dog.
The Panamera was actually one of my goals a while back. I said that if I ever “make it” I wanted to get The Ultimate Dad Car for when I needed to switch out of my Miata. I ended up going with the Taycan though because I kind of think of it as Panamera-adjacent.
Taycan is like panamera but better in every way so you made the right choice. It will be my daily when they go down in value a little, as I think packaging for the money is rather poor. Love the Taycan though on looks and drives like my 997 in town.
Problem with Taycans is with every electric vehicle (except Tesla for some reason) they drastically drop in value in just a year
