I have a Honda accord 2014 with a loud rattle on the cold start . I heard it’s a common problem if not a problem with this gen . Is there any after market brands to combat this mechanical defect ? I heard people have changed it and problem resolves for one year but reoccurs eventually . Word on the street that it’s some sort of back pressure on the cold start that knocks off the timing belt which why it makes the rattle . Could be wrong but what should I do ? Leave it alone ? Replace it with the OEM , find a after market manufacturer that makes a stronger chain sprocket or tensioner ? I’m not a mechanic or know much about it. All I know is that I’m not the only one with this issue .
