The attached video shows the location of my radiator leak. Leaking occurs once the engine is brought up to temp and running. Leak is not from the hose but actually on the metal/piping/weld/fitting. Is a spray sealant like Permatex a viable option to repair the leak? Any other thoughts, suggestions, or observations? The vehicle has 162k miles and is otherwise in good working order but the labor costs for this particular repair ($1,400 quote - substantial disassembly due to the engineering, apparently) has me questioning whether to move on…

    $1400???

    from where??

    it’s 1.4 hours to change the radiator…the radiator is maybe 2-300$ as a guess

    not even $500 at a decent shop.

    find another shop
