I’m English and at the last count I’ve been to 73 current stadiums in the UK plus a few teams old stadiums and about 4 abroad following England
I’m so jealous of you English (and other European) fans, with so many stadiums at such a short distance. Here in Mexico I’ve been to six stadiums, but some are kind of hard to visit as I’d have to take either a 2 or 3-hour flight or drive for at least seven hours. Other than those, I’ve visited a couple in the US, South America, and Europe.
I’m actually planning a trip to England to visit some stadiums, sounds so much fun.
I think 5 stadiums for soccer (Legion field, PNC Field, Georgia Dome, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Nissan Stadium). That number goes up by about 15 if I include American football.
About the same list as mine, in the US. Must be a southeasterner like me
Think I’m on 70-odd but should add another 2 this season
9 I think. Seen games at the stadiums of: Celtic, Scotland, Barcelona, Sporting Gijon, Shalke, Sparta Prague, Slavia Prague, Milan, Atalanta
28, I think.
14 in Ireland (Lansdowne Road, Croke Park, Shelbourne, Bohs, St Pats, Shamrock Rovers/Tallaght, UCD x 2, Cabinteely/Blackrock, Bray Wanderers, Kilkenny, Monaghan, Derry, Finn Harps)
Oldham,
Liverpool,
Notts Forest,
Rapid Vienna,
Dinamo Zagreb,
Sibenik,
Aris Thessaloniki,
Levski Sofia,
Partizan Belgrade,
Brodarac,
Warta Poznan,
Polonia Warsaw,
Gamba Osaka,
FC Seoul,
Šiauliai (Lithuania).
That is quite the random selection!
I forgot Dynamo Kyiv. Pre-War obviously 😆
0 but I’m going to change that!
only one in Kiev
Never thought of that actually. Funny thing is that the answer is like 7 in each of England (London), Germany, denmark and Norway. 2 in Italy and 1 in Spain.
So a bit different. I used to work for a FC in South Africa until recently. So traveling the country and being in all of the World Cup stadiums, as well as some rural stadiums you’d never have known were there, was awesome. Clubs here all have a “home ground” but it’s usually always borrowed or rented or municipality pay for a game to be played there. There is one stadium though, in my opinion, that stands out. And that is Orlando Stadium, permanent home to Orlando Pirates. I have always felt that other clubs have stadiums that they just use, but that Orlando is actually a home, it feels historic. (I think that’s different from the UK and Europe because most clubs there have a historic home).
10 - White Hart Lane, Craven Cottage, Volksparkstadion, Westfalenstadion, Waldstadion, BORUSSIA-PARK, Veltins-Arena, Friends Arena, Dinamo Arena (Tbilisi), A. Le Coq Arena (Tallinn).
In order of most to least
Etihad old Trafford wembley wigan anfield Ellen Road Hull
My team have never been relegated in over 100 seasons. Only get the turnover of clubs coming up and cup ties so see new grounds. Probably not more than 50 grounds including European grounds despite going home and away for years
25 - 19 in my country, Romania, and six abroad: Chelsea, Napoli, Milan, Venezia and two in Athens
Wembley, Ullevål, Bislett, Intility, my local borough stadium.
So… 4 (and a half)
I feel like I’m forgetting something, but I’m probably wrong.
1 I think, my home town stadium, estádio de Leiria
