Hello all, I have a ASUS GT-AX6000 as our home router.

It’s a small home and we have good speeds, 500/50 the router is placed on the floor at the moment in the centre of the house but one room on one side of the house struggles with streaming, either buffering/reducing quality. This router should most definitely cover the whole house comfortably.

Are there any router settings that can increase signal strength or any settings in general that are worth looking at/changing from default to improve overall

Appreciate any advice

Thanks

I second trying u/wase471111 and u/leewhat’s suggestions, especially getting the router off the floor and near the ceiling. Even moving the router from side to side can make a difference. The physical materials the signal has to pass through and interference from other devices can drastically reduce the quality of your wireless signal no matter what router you have. The wireless radio and antenna built into the devices you’re using in your problem room also make a difference. If the problem is interference changing the channel your router broadcasts on might help.
