I could even agree with your lineup if I had watched all these guys play but I’m in my 30s so I missed some. On paper it looks great. Disagree completely with your comment on Roberto Carlos. He was rated exactly as highly as he deserved to be.

Goalie: I am a Madrid fan so Casillas is always in my heart but when it comes to the GREATEST goalkeepers it is between Neur and Buffon but Buffon is missing an important trophy that i do not need to mention and that is pretty much it.

Left back: Roberto Carlos is amazing do not get me wrong but Maldini brought a balanced game he was obviously the best defensively and from what I saw from him which is not alot he was decent attacking wise not as good as Roberto Carlos in terms of attack but we need the extra defense.

The defenders: as Maldini is playing in another position and he played left back mostly i personally consider Sergio Ramos as the best defender ever whether silver ware or prime or longevity or leadership or turning up in the knick of the game he was there that is why he is here as for the other defender well i wanted to put Cannavaro since he along with Ramos was the best I have seen but I keep hearing about Baresi and Franz Beckenbauer so I watched some games which isnt enough as it is a small sample size so after that I went by accolades and Franz seems to lead in that which is why he is here

Right back: Cafu not much to say he was great in club and in national football he was great with both feet had excellent finishing ability I view him as the best right back

Midfielders: i went for having a defensive midfielder not necessarily defensive on paper but his job will be to cover ground so the other two can attack without worrying about defense and Makelele is the defensively oriented midfielder which will help achieve this i view him as the best at doing that too and the other two are Zidane and Maradona i considered other options other than Maradona but decided with him because of his prime and success in general with his magic and Zidane would be the main playmaker the attack goes through him he initiates the play and he controls the pace of the game as needed

Wingers: I hope I do not need to comment on these two

Striker: pele he played as a striker for a while and he was good at it better than most so no reason to bring him back to the midfield he had longevity prime and he was very good at scoring (only two men surpassed him in this and they are on the wings) which is what we need

This team will play in a standard 4-3-3 way with the difference being Makelele supporting the defense from the midfield to help ease the pressure of helping in defense from the attacking oriented midfielders (Zidane and Maradona) Maldini in left back to help the defense and join the attack when necessary basically normal left back job and Cafu same thing while the defenders function as normal unless we bring in a specific game plan(offside trap or marking a specific player) and the wingers Ronaldo and Messi do what they are best at scoring and creating for pele to score and that is that
