Messi won his player of the tournament for the World, not need to give him the Ballon D’or for a medicore season beside the wold cup (which was honetsly also not that great from Messi, but his winning mentality and penalties helped Argentina no doubt )

I have not believed that Messi or Ronaldo didn’t deserve a Ballon D’or until last night. Last night was daylight robbery not gonna lie. I know the World Cup is big, but if it has to be the player of a team, who won the World Cup or a European championship, African Cup of Nation etc. A player like Haaland, who is the best in the world atm, wil not be able to win the Ballon D’or every 2-4 years, which is crazy in my world. The World cup is 4 weeks the season i 8-10 months. The award should go the best player not the player who won a specific trophy.
