These people are paid for this and none of it is insightful. It just sounds good because he learnt how to use that kind of language at private school

Forget Toney, is not good enought to win a Champions League, whenever we do, we need to sign a TOP striker

“forgotten”? Excuse me, Wanker John. The Havertz challenge (which I thought deserved a yellow and nothing more) was not only remembered but widely discussed everywhere, even more so than Dirtmaraes’ assaults on our players.

Let me remind you, Wanker John, of what you conveniently forgot from Dirtmaraes:

      1. A malicious tackle on White, which he fortunately dodged.
      2. A malicious hit to Jorginho’s head (the fact that it wasn’t a red card still baffles me).
      3. A blindside rampage on Jorginho’s back, followed by the audacity to ask him to get up.
      4. Neck grabbing Vieira and Rice.

We probably missed more incidents, given how dirty their whole team is. But last weekend truly infuriated me. I would try to move on, only to be reminded again and again by stupid fucks like John Brewin.

Shall he just always talk about the ref decisions then ?

He’s moving on to analyse the team (whether you agree or not)

More and more i realise now literally nothing will stop fans on here crying and moaning

Well if he’s gonnq analyse the team… why get petty and bring up the “gnashing of teeth” and “Kai should have seen red” without context. Pretty petty analysing IMO.

It’s presumably a list of 10 things to look out for this weekend, enough has already been said about the decisions so maybe he wants to focus on something else.

Nothing could be written without many of our fans here crying about it, unless you write an article about how amazing we are and how nasty everyone is about us.

he literally brought up the decisions when he didn’t need to. His piece is about Arsenal’s CF options, decisions in the Newcastle game are pretty much irrelevant to that discussion

Some journo’s and publications are proper wierd about some clubs. I’ve noticed the guardian has a proper hate boner for us right now, even the podcast they do is the same.

Yeah even in their preview pod for the season - everyone except Barry disregarded Arsenal as a title contender for this season. It was weird. A lot had the likes of Liverpool and even United around 2nd place.

I was surprised Barry predicted us for 1st tbh after all that

Don’t ever read the Mail if you think the above story is Anti-Arsenal, that would be a light palette cleanser for the Mail.

Actually just don’t read the Mail full stop!

Trossard looked better as a false 9 than Havertz apparently, considering Havertz hasn’t started there in a competitive game, bit of a strange comparison

Here’s an objective fact…the most crowded place on a football pitch is at centre forward / centre defense. The most important attribute of a centre forward will always be his first touch…This is far and away Eddie’s biggest weakness. As long as he’s unable to get the ball under control in time for all his other skills to make an appearance, he’ll always be a player that looks good against weaker defenses.

At the moment he’s a defensive forward and I’m not sure that’s the team we are looking to be as fans (Even though that’s clearly what Arteta is trying to be).

Against Sevilla, Leandro Trossard looked a more adept false 9 than Havertz

So obviously they haven’t watched us play. We’ve used Havertz more as a midfielder than a forward. He only goes up there in cameo appearances and most times he does he’s effective (cameos up front against City and Chelsea)

Bruno G deserved that tackle I can’t lie. I’ve been doubting Havertz’s capability since he joined. But boy when he made that tackle I shouted that’s what I’m fucking talking about. Ain’t seen a tough tackle like that since xhaka. I know it would have been stupid for him to get sent off so early but I was like yes my boy u have got a little heart.

The Guardian is one of the few British papers that isn’t utter dogshit but the way they’ve covered Arsenal this past week has been really disappointing to see.

No Arsenal fan is saying that we haven’t had poor refereeing decisions go in our favour because we have. Every team gets them from time to time. It’s so fucking weird to me that this is being framed as “Arsenal fans upset about things not going their way all the time” instead of “Arsenal fans upset that the best league in the world™ has some of the worst referees”.

Agree, has been odd. Just trying to optimize their SEO perhaps? Or maybe since Amy L is writing less or nothing for them, the perspective has changed?
