Assumptions:
- This is only based on his first season for Man Utd.
- He was sold one year after being signed (which obviously didn’t happen.)
- His wages are £200k as reported by The Mirror.
TL/DR:
- If he was released after one year, he would have cost Man Utd circa £70mil…
- He could have cost Man Utd up to £6.3mil per goal or assist.
- He could have cost Man Utd up to £1.58mil per appearance.
- He could have cost Man Utd up to £22,284 per minute played.
There’s a whole lot of assumptions here that are a wild stretch. I think the dude is an angry fidget spinner that we overpaid for, but these numbers are just stupid and wrong because of the assumptions you’re making.
