Assumptions:

  • This is only based on his first season for Man Utd.
  • He was sold one year after being signed (which obviously didn’t happen.)
  • His wages are £200k as reported by The Mirror.

TL/DR:

  • If he was released after one year, he would have cost Man Utd circa £70mil…
  • He could have cost Man Utd up to £6.3mil per goal or assist.
  • He could have cost Man Utd up to £1.58mil per appearance.
  • He could have cost Man Utd up to £22,284 per minute played.

    There’s a whole lot of assumptions here that are a wild stretch. I think the dude is an angry fidget spinner that we overpaid for, but these numbers are just stupid and wrong because of the assumptions you’re making.

    All I can say is I remember how many Gunners fans, myself included, used to pillory Pepe for his lack of good performances coupled with his outrageous price tag. What ironic is ManU paid more for Anthony and his offensive output has been worse than Pepe’s.

    United fans complaining have the right to. He’s been awful
