These guys went to a great length to criticize arteta and protect PGMol. But when Manchester United got decisions against them, they are suddenly against var and referees? And United got robbed somehow? Where was that energy with arteta?

This is why Var and referees won’t improve that much. They didn’t care about it when it happened to rivals. But once it happened to them, suddenly the world is against them.

I mean, I guess welcome to the real world? No fan cares, unless it affects them. Other manager saying something is an excuse but their manager saying something is gospel. It is the nature of this sub, and of most fans. Refreeeing decisions wont improve just because of this. Also, about pundits, honestly who cares? I only like the CBS crew because they are not serious on the football analysis, and even that I am not sure coz I do not watch them barring the occassional reel or clip. gary is nutjob, Carragher is a nutjob, all of them are.

CBS is quality but I agree with you, most fans don’t realize the bias they have with their own club, me and my dad both said last night when we got our penalty that it wasn’t a penalty neither was Copenhagen’s. But then VAR in UEFA is different from the premier league.

Refreeeing decisions wont improve just because of this.

I mean, I disagree with this mostly even if I understand what you are saying. Refereeing decisions won’t improve as long as they keep the white, bald, Mancunian boys club alive that has more interest in protecting their buddies over being self-accountable and wanting to improve their craft.

I also do believe that refs are in a bit of a no win situation as the rules keep changing from under them and they struggle to implement and enforce the integrity of these new rules. I also been banging on for the longest that some of the rules make no sense from a incident/ punishment perspective and should be overhauled as it causes fans, players and managers ire but my opinions aren’t appreciated on these so I won’t get into them lol.

In the end, refs need to protect the players first and foremost, then maintain the integrity of the game by stopping obvious cheating. Players should be encouraged to play more physically with each other as it makes for a better spectacle and maintains flow in the game without the need for 15 minute injury time added every game.
