I recently got powerline ethernet for my PC, as I have 1200 mbps internet and am only getting around 40 mbps download speed on my WiFi to my PC. The speed is considerably higher on my phone and Macbook. However, when I connected the powerline ethernet and disconnected the WiFi on my PC, I’m still receiving about the same speed. What do I do?
Don’t go with powerline!
Are there telephone or coax outlets in the room?
Powerline utilizes your home’s electrical wiring, which is not rated for such purpose. Therefore, you will get variability in the results, such as what you are getting right now. If you have coax wirings all over your home, MoCA is a better alternative than Powerlines.
powerline=sewage…
If you take the PC near the WiFi does your speed improve?
