Pretty much the title. I’ve seen plenty of people using proxmox and truenas but I don’t really see many homelab users running Ubuntu server or something similar? Do many people actually use it to run docker or any containers on their machines? Just curious.

    I’m running two VMs on my Proxmox server:

    • a dedicated VM for running Docker containers

    • a “virtual Pi” of sorts for piVPN and piHole - this one is quite minimal running with one core and 1GB of RAM.

    I’ve never ran Ubuntu server on bare metal, though, except maybe for a short while on a Pi.
