For example, most people on r/soccer are happy with Messi winning this year’s Ballon d’Or, meanwhile this sub knows Haaland deserved it more.

This sub has more English Premier League fans and naturally a bit of bias that they want one of their own to win it.

Propaganda from the Premier League brand spread to all areas of the British media, BBC, sky etc make out it’s the best / most important league in the world and that’s echoed by its viewers.

One of the richest yes, but also one of the most predictable leagues in the last few years.

Haaland has done very well with his numbers but most of his goals are from inside the box and somewhat poacher like. Not taking away from his achievements but a player like Osimhen or Icardi could be put in Haaland’s place and the Man City team would be equally as effective.
