i kind of remember watching vietnam in the sea games in 2015, my oldest vivid memory is watching us drawing level with indonesia in the 2016 aff cup, with the keeper sent off

I remember when I was 5 asking for Paul McGraths Autograph. He screamed “Fuck Off”
Probably the biggest reason why I cheer on whichever opponent is playing against Ireland and during 94 World cup while Ireland was going crazy for our team i was more interested in watching the other matches with Stoitchkov, Hagi, Romario, Baggio etc.
About a decade later I found out McGrath had a shit life and was suicidal and a demon for alcohol. But it was too late to save my love for Irish football. A decade of hating a team and then changing is the same as a decade of supporting a team and changing allegiance.
Still to this day i cheer for Ireland in Rugby, Boxing, golf etc but when the football team plays I take the utmost pleasure in them losing.
