I always insisted that Messi deserved 2010 Ballon D’or but at this point it’s a joke. Haaland deserved this one. Better numbers than Messi during the 2022/2023 season but they give it to Messi for a 7 games display when they got 5 penalties in 7 games
Just don’t hold any regard or prestige for it. I know I don’t. End of the day a player is nothing without their team and the journalists will vote with what they can write at the end of their pen to sell more of who they publish for.
