    I think it’s part of the reason some people get so mad when you point out that Semitic includes Arabs so antisemitic should really apply to both. They’ll argue to hell and back that it wasn’t the original German use and that it always meant Jews, but while contemporary use may be that, the origins were really just all racially charged Aryan versus Semitic eugenics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism#Origin_and_usage It’s like they can’t cope with the possibility of putting yourself in someone else’s place, but I guess that’s the blinders of religious fervor for you.
