What sense does it make for VAR to make Paul Tierney go to the monitor over a play he had a clear view of? It wasn’t a hidden handball or a foul behind the play. He saw it, didn’t make the call, but is forced to watch it in slow motion until he awards a pk. Done with the premier league until they get rid of VAR for everything but offsides.
VAR technology isn’t the problem. The idiotic Premier League referees operating it are the problem.
My conspiracy theory is that they never wanted it and so are operating it badly to try and get rid of it.
