What sense does it make for VAR to make Paul Tierney go to the monitor over a play he had a clear view of? It wasn’t a hidden handball or a foul behind the play. He saw it, didn’t make the call, but is forced to watch it in slow motion until he awards a pk. Done with the premier league until they get rid of VAR for everything but offsides.

    I’ve said it before. Because VAR is easy to manipulate. Yesterday Sterling was literally shoved in the back. Var said no pen. But this was given as a pen when he wasn’t even near the ball. Brace for apology. City woulda still wiped United. But it makes it a talking point
