What sense does it make for VAR to make Paul Tierney go to the monitor over a play he had a clear view of? It wasn’t a hidden handball or a foul behind the play. He saw it, didn’t make the call, but is forced to watch it in slow motion until he awards a pk. Done with the premier league until they get rid of VAR for everything but offsides.

It’s bullshit they are interfering too much. Was that a penalty today maybe? Maybe not but absolutely not a clear and obvious or a scandalous decision if not given. But once again VAR are reffing games they don’t need to check everything let the on field ref decide and only interfere if anything obvious or the on field ref wants a second opinion. Probably doesn’t affect admittedly but still would rather feel aggrieved by on field decision rather than VAR (if that makes sense)
