What sense does it make for VAR to make Paul Tierney go to the monitor over a play he had a clear view of? It wasn’t a hidden handball or a foul behind the play. He saw it, didn’t make the call, but is forced to watch it in slow motion until he awards a pk. Done with the premier league until they get rid of VAR for everything but offsides.

    No sense. Add the fact that this happens multiple times every game and that the var person usually doesn’t have the time to check these non-incidents because the ball has been recycled sooner…
