Liverpool, arsenal and city having a somewhat slow start and Son playing very well. Likely they will regress toward the mean at some point this season.

Kane needed the change to reach his potential. Tottenham needed Kane gone - and the right manager - to reach theirs. Tottenham’s reliance on Kane was holding everyone back.

It’s mainly Ange and the ethos he has. Finally after 5ish years we have a manager that doesn’t have or expect more than the ownership is prepared to give in terms or resources and control. In some ways I do think Kane leaving has played into it though. A world class player for sure, but he outgrew the club and the signings of Conte and Jose were done to appease him. Kane was the focal point for everything we did for so long and I think that led to complacency and negativity within the squad. With Kane going expectations were so low; some pundits saying we could be relegation contenders or bottom half so that inspired the team to fight and prove people wrong. Ange also give players freedom and creativity to be themselves which is the total opposite of the past 2/3 managers

I think if Kane was still there they’d still be doing mint personally. Might not look exactly the same but the players all love playing for ange and that is making them play better. Only way i think Kane disrupts that is if he for whatever reason hates Ange’s style and influences the other players into that mindset, which I doubt he’d have done.

The situation does remind me a little of Coutinho leaving us though, the star player leaving allowing others to flourish.

    Competent management for sure.

No team in the world, let alone spurs, lose a player of Kane’s quality and improve as a result.

Playing to the strength … Playing the Big Ange Football … but I would love to see a second half season run from Tottu . It’s when team plans against you and focuses more on getting points off you by any means… But with no other football, Tottu has a great shot at EPL…

Clearly its the manager and every signing they’ve made being an A + purchase that fit in from the very start. Add in they are essentially injury free. They’d still be better with Kane

Kane would make this team even better, there really is no question. All this positivity is down to the manager, we have all the hallmarks of Ange’s previous teams. If Kane was in the mix I would be a lot more confident about a potential title push.
