Just as the title says- who is the most annoying fanbase and why?

Man United, all the do is cry! For a team that’s won so many titles they sure do love to act like everything has always been against them.

As mentioned above, each team has its fair share of losers. I certainly don’t think everything’s always been against United, remotely. Still, it does get annoying when your club is the one everyone loves to mock and make fun of in bad spells. I suppose it’s the cost of our former success

But it’s not even true that you’re club is singled out, there’s a post about why Chelsea suck every day on here. If I was a United fan I’d sure want to my team to be good again but I’d also just respond to every post about my team with the number of trophies or something like that.

I’m not complaining but we definitely get more hate than Chelsea. Anyway, I do try my best not to interact with random people shitting on us, but maybe I should just respond with “20 league titles” i’m sure that would really go down well lmao

There are definitely sections of the Newcastle fanbase that are just deplorable. I know every fanbase has them and it’s probably bias of seeing it every day but jeeesus there are some that are stupid and annoying

The Newcastle YouTuber/podcast/twitter crowd are horrifically bad from what I see. Three of my close friends are Newcastle fans & even they can’t stand some of the shite they come out with, as you say every club has them my team has fucking Goldbrigde who makes me nauseous every-time I’m scrolling the web and see him appear

As a Newcastle fan, it is really weird and down bad seeing ultras being so down with the whole “Saudi Arabia owns the club so now we’re on our way to be Man City” argument.

Totally curious question coming from Fan Of Another Club, but i watched Wolves v Newcastle and you were playing in the Saudi kit (sorry, as an Australian who sees us regularly playing Saudi Arabia for World or Asia Cup qualifying there is no other way to see it).

What is the general view among the fan base about your away kit now being the Saudi strip? Was there a more traditional away kit that is now lost?

From what I can gather, most people aren’t particularly glad about it. But most casual fans don’t care enough to think much about the politics of it.

I think that the average fan with half a brain acknowledges that sportswashing isn’t great. But the average fan would also be down with more resources that could potentially benefit the club in the long run. That kit makes me cringe, but most people are happy that Newcastle are winning again enough to turn the other cheek.

Newcastle is also a weird case because the Saudis haven’t used the money to buy a bunch of big name players, at least not yet. This doesn’t make it any less morally dubious, but there’s certainly more of a gray area.

All of this said, I hate the current state of affairs. I wanted to us to be relevant again, just not like this. I’ll always be a magpies fan, but being whores to the Saudis isn’t awesome. Then again, that’s football for you.

Not annoying but more funny I always like to listen to 606 and imagine if that person got 5 mins with the manager they are complaining about.

For example Steve the plumber from Kirby has to explain to 5 time European cup winner Rafa Benitez why Seamus Coleman should play in midfield.

Or Mark the accountant from Bury has to tell Ten Haag why he has lost the dressing room and give him tips on how to get it back.

People on phone ins are always unhinged, although the ones that ring into TalkSport must get redirected to the show from attempting to call a head trauma hotline or something, some of the calls I’ve heard on their make Agbonlahor seem erudite.

Chelsea is up there. They were SO arrogant that it feels good to see their situation.

Brighton’s has been a huge dick to me for no reason. I asked them if them if there was a reason Evan Ferguson wasn’t playing more (a few weeks ago) and if he would play more or if the plan was still to have him as a rotation player, because I like him and wanted to see him play. They banned me, apparently because they were convinced I was just fishing for advice for the fictional league thing. Just crazy people.
