The second claim is disproved by r/myboyfriendisai.
Sweet Satan, I was not ready for that place. The levels of self-centeredness and self-absorption are unfathomable. I’d heard about people being up their own ass, but those people have built a Swiss chalet up their ass that they party in year-round.
Heaven forbid you pick up a cookbook!
It’s not her job to fix him just so he’d dateable.
This, right here, bold and in lights. Women coddle men too damn much.
You’re probably being too hard on yourself, but the obvious answer is “Get a personality”.
How is this different then googling date ideas and clicking a listacle?
If I was about to go on a date with somebody and I said “Okay, I did a Google search for date ideas and I found a listicle” I would expect to be ghosted, too. Probably preceded by some hilarious laughter.
It’s a rough way to get that lesson for sure, but maybe he’ll learn for the future. If you coddle him then he’ll never learn.

Of course it’s innocent. He didn’t try to hide it from her. That doesn’t make it any less of a red flag.
If he had said “I did a Google search for a bunch of date ideas” would that have been acceptable? No, of course not.
I think she made how she felt about AI pretty clear. Now, if there’s something about him that still attracts her, then yes… give him another chance. Absent that, have him hit the road. Don’t ignore such an obvious red flag unless you have a damn good reason.

3·4 days agoThe idea behind an auxiliary language is that everybody would only need to learn two languages: their native language and the auxiliary language. You’d talk to people in your own community in your native language and use the auxiliary to talk to foreigners. This helps to preserve language diversity while enabling international communication. To facilitate this, a good auxiliary language needs to be easy to learn and flexible enough to express a wide array of concepts. Esperanto is the most popular auxiliary language.
As it turns out, the Esperanto Wikipedia does have an article on the calendar. However, the day names are presented in French, so there is still no definitive answer to this particular question lmao

11·4 days agoPredictive text won’t write a book for you. Nobody has developed psychosis from using a search engine.
Your argument is reductive, like seeing somebody panicking because a hurricane is coming and responding with “What’s the big deal? It’s just a rainstorm!”

9·4 days agoNot quite. They’re both Satanic churches. TST is more activist and fights for the rights of Satanists in court.
There’s a good breakdown of the differences here.

10·5 days agoTo start with, we don’t believe in Satan.
Neither does the Church of Satan, to be fair.

4·6 days agoThe “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mentality.
Trump managed to get Roe v. Wade overturned. This is something the religious right has had on their bucket list for decades. It’s the equivalent of a Democrat achieving Medicare For All.
It isn’t like they don’t know what to do. Just ask Bernie, AOC, or Warren. They don’t want to do any of that stuff, though, because it would upset the status quo and they’d lose money from their donors: AIPAC, et al.
“Refusing to vote for Harris” is a hell of a way to frame it. Why do you think that people owed Harris their vote? If she wants to win, she has to earn her votes, just like every other politician.
As for it not being on the ballot: there were two anti-genocide candidates on my ballot — Jill Stein and Cornel West. Were they not on your ballot?

30·6 days agoSo, my partner would do this. One day, she was driving me home from work, and there was a period of extended silence between us, and we had this conversation:
Her: Whatcha thinkin’ about?
Me: What would the days of the French Revolutionary Calendar be if they were translated into Esperanto?
Her: …
Me: Well, you asked.

Isn’t that stuff more expensive than gold? I had a recipe which called for saffron, but it was an optional ingredient, and when I saw the price I put it back. I wanted to know whether or not I liked the recipe before I dropped $25 on a teaspoon of spice.
