Agreed. My own issue with voting is people vote to indicate agreement/disagreement and not for the quality/effort of the post, which was the original intent of up/down votes from what I understand.
In case anyone missed it, it will cost 1000 Community Points or, more importantly, $5/subreddit to basically get some sort of “subreddit premium” status. The $5 is for users who don’t accumulate 1000 CP’s per month to retain their subreddit-premium status.
Been on Reddit since 2011 while my main account is only 9 years old. Regardless, Lemmy is now my go-to except for smaller subreddits that haven’t fully migrated yet. That said, I’ve noticed more and more activity in those lemmy communities so I have high hopes the trend continues!
Has there been any new posts? Everything looks one week old on my end
Merge mansion lol
I’ve been on Reddit since 2011 and feel very bittersweet about all this. Reddit has changed drastically since I first joined so I already mourned the earlier days of Reddit but this really feels like the last naio in the coffin. On the other hand, I wouldn’t have discovered Lemmy without Reddit and I see so much potential here so that is the silver lining in all of this.
I tried to go cold turkey but only lasted a few weeks before the doctors put me on a forced feeding tube.
