Agree that I personally found it a waste of time but I do wonder if having it encourages more people to post good/funny content more regularly. That said surely it’s the same thing really just having it per post rather than an overall score

I think the focus for devs/the community going forward has to be focusing on how easy it is to get on this platform so it can eventually hit a critical mass of users for regular new content/more active discussions.

I’m using the memmy beta, it was really easy making an account on lemmy.world and logging in on memmy with that but the initial search I did made me think getting set up was a much longer process

I don’t think a UBI makes sense, for many people it will just be extra money in their pocket to spend which continues the endless inflation in prices until the gain disappears.

More efficient targeting of benefits to those who need it with that money would actually help reduce inequality
