I know it’s an unpopular opinion but what’s the point? They’re obviously not talking regularly and people get avalanched by congratulations due to social networks reminders, so would it mean anything?
I don’t know how far we can trust that tool, but originality.ai concludes that this has been written by a human.
At least originality.ai seems to think that this is written by a human.
The ultimate decision comes to the owner, though. Should he bend to the customer’s expectations? Or is it only his idea of the customer’s expectations; because at least on Lemmy it looks like people don’t care about the look of the staff. Probably not a representative sample, though.
I see a lot of people responding with “you don’t have to be Japanese to cook Japanese food”. I think this comic raises another interesting point (whether it’s the intention of the author or not).
The analysis would be valid if it was a random set of nationalities: Asian, European, African, etc. But in the comic, all of the employees are Asian. I think there’s a criticism that the restaurant owner is racially biased and only hires Asian staff. Why? I don’t see another explanation that the staff must “pass” for Japanese, which would be problematic of the owner.
Usually, people outside the anglosphere don’t think about how an American is going to read their name or if they’re going to find it funny.
Lol, there’s also a Gandalf quote.
I’ll share my personal situation in return. I’m not a parent, but I’d like to be someday. And indeed I feel very anxious about losing my free time etc. That’s why I’m taking this a bit personally, these childfree posts are not helping me at. all. 😅
Thanks for sharing your experience! I can 100% understand and share how you both feel. It’s unacceptable to pressure someone into making choices that aren’t theirs. Not having a child is a personal decision that is not up to debate and should be accepted without justification.
But that’s what I’m talking about. Child free content on social networks appears like an expression pride, joy or contentment, but feels to me more like an expression of hurt. Instead of celebrating what people love in their childfree lives, it always looks to be somehow addressed to parents to taunt them or revel.
Idk. Maybe it’s like pride parades. People being oppressed for who they are want to openly proclaim their identities because it makes them feel good and I’m overthinking it.
I’ve never understood childfree communities and posts. Is it because parents can’t shut up about their kids so you’re doing the same? Are your friends having children and you don’t like the change? Are you feeling pressure from family or society and rejecting it? Or shadenfreude for struggling parents?
I just can’t imagine it as something positive. It always looks like people are seething about something.
That would be the German ‘eu’ pronounced ‘oy’. In Dutch, it’s pronounced like ‘uh’. <nuh-kuh-n>
I was becoming crazy looking for the differences!

That being said, I think your earlier comment was downvoted for being a bit too aggressive. You get to choose which advice or criticism you take, but it’s graceful to keep it cool.
Makes me think of Outer Wilds!
This reinforces the myth that babies come from sperm. But babies come almost completely from the egg (cytoplasm, membrane, all of the organelles, as much genetic code than sperm, nutrients).
So guess what, you don’t have to imagine ovarian pregnancy because it’s real!
Edit: Happens even without fertilizarion with the teratoma. Yikes.
We had a new joiner quit on his first day because of this. Didn’t even get to eat the burrito he ordered :( So it definitely happens.
Independant journalism is often cited as the fourth branch of government, that makes the other three accountable to the people.

4·4 months agoOG fascism aimed that everyone participate in building the Nation. Women’s role is supposed to be producing children, i.e., future soldiers and workers.
That’s the same idea than Christianity. Homosexuality and contraception do not lead to babies, so they are vilified.
I actually like the 12 or 60 based time! Couldn’t we change to base 12 for everything instead? 🥺
