AMD has clawed back a hefty 10% market share in the desktop x86 CPU segment over the last year. And that has us wondering, could those crashing 13th and 14th Gen CPUs be hurting Intel’s sales?
I mean that’s a pretty obvious yes. Even if the 285k had been a decent product I still wouldn’t have considered it after seeing that Intel knew about oxidation issues and tried to hide it. Then you have the poor thermals and high power draw of previous 2 gens on top of the cpu problems. I’d already made up my mind to upgrade to AM5 before the 9800x3d was released and reviewed.
Yeah I’ve been following it and seen that it’s crossed into pigs and onto a pig farmer. CDC’s work is going to become even harder under the new administration.
This bodes well for everyone if bird flu makes the jump to humans.
I’ve committed to being perma-stoned for the next 4 years. That should be fun.
Ahh that also explains why it seems to be a google only thing. Thank you though, knowing that it’s through the shopping api will hopefully help me find a solution (if it exists).
I’ve got a home server that I vpn into for pihole anyway so will just host it on the same machine. In theory I shouldn’t notice too much difference in the way of response time
The main issue is finding the time and energy to get it all set up and running properly.
Looks like Google’s Ai Overview has been pushed onto the NZ market. That’s finally tipped me over to make DuckDuckGo my default. Next stop, hosting my own searxng instance.
Yeah this might be the one legitimate time to yell “false flag”.
I just purchased a new car as well and like you it was the first time. Mine needed to be registered and they couldn’t do that until they received full payment because they registered it in my name. As I was picking up during the weekend they couldn’t just do it when I picked it up as there admin person only worked during the week.
I had reservations about fronting up with payment before I got the keys but it made sense once they explained it. They probably want to take care of all the paper work so you can walk in and out without a lot of faffing about.
Supposedly there’s no limitations on the b650 for pcie lanes but I did note that on other boards which is why I ruled other ones out. But yeah seems safer to go with x670e and then there’s a 4th m2 if I really need it.
Yeah I’m all good for doing bios updates and as you say both boards have rear bios ports.
I think for $40 I may as well go with the x670e to get a pcie 5.0 nvme slot and better vrm. I’ve heard rumours that the x3d may be overclockable but doubt I’ll bother.
Conservatives and hypocrisy. Name a more iconic duo.
Railway signalling and interlocking systems. Sure ETCS and other digital systems are far safer, but some dude at a junction used to manually reset the points and crossovers using a giant lever. Now everything’s just a digital system overseen by someone with 8+ monitors in a control room removed from the actual network.
Also, not a technology, but rally cars used to be fully unhinged. I could watch old Group B videos for hours and never get bored.
There were chips that suffered from oxidative flaws during the manufacturing process which Intel didn’t tell anybody about until July of this year. You are correct that they aren’t on sale now but it’s not correct to say this was only a voltage issue.

Wow that’s an amazing view. Love how you framed it, that is some solid composition.
Reminder that Christine Lagarde, the conservative former head of the IMF, publicly admitted that austerity sent Greece into depression following the IMF’s intervention in the sovereign debt crisis.

Thank you, as a relatively new Trekkie this is cool to see how it’s been tied back to the original.
It’s just a prank bro, no homo.
