I lucked out. The manager of my dealership was an owner of an EV6. She spent 20 minutes in car showing me all the tricks. I knew like OP what tax credits if any I would get. That is why I chose to lease. I was pleased to have such a nice buying experience.
I do wish there was a queue system for chargers. Since it’s not 2 minutes to fill a tank like gasoline a person could be waiting up to 30 minutes just to have someone cut in line and still have an additional 30 minute wait. I also believe that no one should touch another persons vehicle or charge station. That is a no-no at gas stations and should be at charge stations too. There is also the issue of too many apps and payment methods. But that is for another discussion.
Really hoped they would provide numbers of problems per 10,000 vehicles for each make/model. The statistics they shared could easily be to further their narrative. Haven’t been an EV owner long but so far it’s nicer than any ICE vehicle I have owned.
