I think you’re being uncharitable. Those notes could be a strict railroad novel, but they’re as or more likely to be drop-in encounters, fun characters, interesting places, and so on. Plus like…some DMs just enjoy worldbuilding for its own sake, let 'em cook.

TNG infamously had an episode about an asshole captain who, among other things, made arbitrary and annoying changes to the scheduling system. Did you feel the same way about it then? Anyone gone back to school for an advanced degree after working in the field for a long time? What was your experience like?

The thought entered my mind to go back to school and get a Masters or something. I have 14 years in the field already but my bachelor’s was unrelated. Anyone else done something similar and have any input?
