1 year agoI think you need to go drive a Porsche sports car and correct your understanding of their offering. Even a base Boxster is not “a budget sports car” once you’re behind the wheel and above 5000 rpm.
Most people agree the Emira and Cayman are pretty close, with the Cayman having better behaviors on public roads, and the Emira feeling a touch more raw.
Your 911 will easily eat up 80 miles in complete comfort. You can even add a zero if you really want.
But then that does beg the question, would you rather spend that 80 miles on curvy roads or chasing apexes? If so, maybe use something else for your boring daily drives and make up for lost time later :)
With that said, I completely understand if you just want to inject some adrenaline in your daily commute. In that case, your car will handle that perfectly, as if it was built specifically for that purpose.
