  • first off, bidi optics only really make sense when you are trying to densely pack signals into a run without doing cwdm or dwdm. bidi optics require matched pairs… you must buy a “flipped” side, i.e. 1310/1490 side 1, 1490/1310 side 2. also, bidi are single mode, use single mode / SM fiber with it. if you mix and match single mode with multi mode, you will have a chance of packet loss, or not working at all. they are physically two different sizes of glass.

    tplink is so generic I wouldn’t worry about brand compatibility.
