I bought it with the sales. Considering what people were saying about running it on a steam deck, I wasn’t expecting much, but… I was pretty surprised to see that it runs well enough for me. With all settings on low (except crowd set to high) I get ~30 fps everywhere outside cities. In cities it’s more like ~23fps though No crash for now after 10 hours on the deck. I don’t use any mods. Also, I think it’s not a game for everyone (hence the hate it receives), but if you like Skyrim/Bethesda’s games, I see no reason to dislike it.
for file transferring, if you are familiar with it you can use ssh/sftp. An ssh service would run on your deck and you can simply transfer the files between your computer/deck with winscp/filezilla
