You can set connections between folders to be one-directional. That way after I send stuff to my intended device I wipe it from the source device and it stays where it was intended to go.

4·4 days agoWhoa! I was gonna ask which dogs would be more likely to have autism if that were possible. Instead, after some quick research it turns out there is a controversial and debated analog to autism in dogs termed CDB (canine dysfunctional behavior) that can include symptoms such as repetitive/compulsive behaviors, social challenges, heightened sensory sensitivities, and difficulty with changes in routine.
Bull terriers apparently are the breed which exhibit the most CDB-like symptoms. However, the breeds that are recommended to match with autistic humans are ones that are more predictable, gentle, calm, and friendly (e.g. labs, goldens, etc).
To those curious: Because some morel mushrooms can form a symbiotic relationship with sweet corn. (I had to look it up.)

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Transliterated country names into Chinese Language use pre-existing characters that already has its own meaning, therefore native Chinese speakers have a subconcious impression based on country names.

But what’s the app’s name? Picture This. I’m waiting! No that’s the name of the app. What is? No that’s the name of the player on second base.

The quintessential example of this category: the pointless, yet hilarious improv comedy podcast recapping all 431 episodes of the 1960s series Bonanza: Bonanas for Bonanza ← YouTube explanation on Conan O’Brien Feeds a Friend (sic).
I was hesitant to jump in despite loving Daly and Gourley, since I couldn’t give two sh¡ts about the show. But the show is not at all the point. It’s merely the premise that keeps the train on its tracks. So maybe it’s just the most ironic example of this category.
Can confirm, I quoted and attributed them last week as well.
I’d like to encourage blocking karma farming reposters like OP to others if you’d like to keep your pipes clear.

If anyone’s interested, languages follow similar differentiation patterns as species in evolution. Ways this occurs include: allopatric (barrier separates past equivalents), peripatric (migration), and sympatric (subcultures), etc.
It’s the same reason Matthew Rhys can do a spot-on American accent despite having an outrageous Welsh accent irl: people are more likely to grow up on the media of more mainstream languge so it becomes the lingua franca. (love Rhys to clarify)
