Completely agree. They should follow the Jeffrey Epstein’s link and networks if they have the balls. You don’t need to scan all people’s phone on earth. Well, it includes high profile people, so good luck with that.

You can use a community instance as pointed out by other authors. It’s a pity that they make this change, but still we should be grateful for this open source product that can be hosted by other providers.
Up to 4 ppl, you can use brave talk. For more, use https://meet.calyx.net/ or https://framatalk.org/
You can be anonymised in many ways. But, keep in mind that most of of them are sophisticated attacks which require a lot of effort. No organisation on earth has unlimited resources.
Why does a three letter agency spend this effort for you? Are you a very important target? If yes they can do it. If no, then your threat level is not that high. You don’t need ANONYMITY, you need privacy.
Why not use the stock reminders since you are already on iO? You can also use this app. https://www.condution.com/
Edit: I saw it’s already recommended by another user.
It’s kind of a vulnerability. Afaik, in case of a compromise on a website, it prevents being spread. For me, it’s an important security feature. Actually, it should be for everyone. But still, I use Mull on android activating https only.
Further info:
to avoid misunderstanding, I am just stating the ridiculousness of relating Tor to the criminal networks, not some kind of a conspiracy like funded by US organisations. Of course, Tor is almost the only way to anonymity.
No, it was proxying from bing at first place. Then they removed it.
I think this is one of the most relevant news as also other users point out in the comments. I was using ddg just because brave search did not support image and video search.
It seems that the user deleted his tweet. https://mashable.com/article/zoom-use-calls-train-ai-artificial-intelligence
Signal could be a good replacement, if it allows sharing a meeting link. Otherwise, you have to create a group for each meeting.
Thanks. This is the first time I saw this. Will check it out.
When the number of participants is above 15-20, and you need to share screen, it’s not stable. So, people always complained about its quality when I sent an invitation.
It’s funded by the us govt, darpa and American universities. But people won’t look at it just as they do with privacy policies.

I am undecided btw 2FAS and Ente. 2FAS has an excellent UI, but there is no desktop app. Ente requires an account, but it’s not a problem considering that everything is E2EE and it’s a company with good reputation.
Cromite is a fork, so waiting a bit before using it would be helpful. Vanadium is a good option if you use grapheneos. Even though there are controversies around Brave, it does not affect privacy and security of it. Turn off crypto and other stuff and it’s done.
Firefox on android does not provide per site isolation. I don’t think it is significant as long as you know what you accept by using it. If you are willing to take this road, then Mull is the browser you are looking for.
I don’t believe that tweet. Why would a company with limited transparency purchase a source available app?
Bulls*t. What the random YouTubers claim without evidence is also nonsense. It’s remarkable to allege that an open source and audited app is a honeypot. Well, find it guys, it’s open source.
This can just be a bad joke. Xmpp is not event considered by PG as an alternative. Besides, as long as you encrypt the data it does not matter on AWS or somewhere else.
