Perfect timing for the sentiment. NF Canada axed the $10 stream last month, so now it’s just godforsaken ad stream or the whopping increase to $15. I cancelled last month before this happened, so I won’t get the grandfathered $10 plan. Perhaps a blessing in disguise, because this tactic feels ever so much like being held hostage.

Yes. Provincially, there is a three tier hierarchy of courts, and this is the lowest. This is truly the most ridiculous thing I’ve read today; the Judge will hopefully be laughed off the bench.

Edit: Engadget wrongly stated this was provincial court, but The Guardian article has the actual case, it was in King’s Court, so there is still a tier above this one, provincially.

There is also an exception for if the same number calls you twice within 15 minutes. That way if a loved one is calling from a different number it will still get through.
