Each league thinks they have the worst referees, having foreign referees isn’t a bad idea but it’s not going to be a band aid fix, It’ll likely be an expensive solution to a minor upgrade.

I don’t think it was a penalty, I feel bad that it was given and I would be annoyed if it was given against my team. Playing devils advocate, I think it went something like this; Did he kick the ball? no, Did he make contact with the player? very minimal but yes, Does it trip the player? It looks like it does, so it doesn’t make it a clear and obvious mistake from Anthony Taylor so they can’t overrule it, that being said, I don’t understand why they can’t make him go look at it on the screen? Allowing the ref to watch it from different angles would prevent bad calls like these.
