lol this is the data hoarding equivalent of plugging your monitor into your motherboard instead of your GPU

When I was maybe 12 I bought a 1TB external drive with my birthday money. I only needed it because my laptop started running out of space to store all my recordings of funny gaming moments with my friends. Then when I built a PC I bought a 3TB drive, then a 4TB drive, then two 8TB drives… The quality and file size just kept increasing over the years. And now I will soon be turning my current tower into a home server with 6x14TB drives.

Once I realized how powerful local copies of Internet media was I never really looked back… just kept buying more drives.
