2·4 months agoYou can load your own ringtones, but you have to use a Mac or Windows computer with iTunes. I did this years ago to help my old rocker mum to have Born To Be Wild as her ringtone on her iPhone (13?).

3·4 months agoWithout following your link, it reads like you want your car to sound like“dwiomp”! I had a healthy chuckle

2·4 months agoTBH it seems dangerous to listen to a podcast without oncoming traffic blaring through it, as fisch@lemmy.world wants.

6·4 months agoThen why are Kawasakis much less noisy? I thought it was for the Harley’s owner’s inflated ego?

6·4 months agoThe dislike button was hidden because of their unpopular rewind video. This happened long before AI videos.

5·4 months agoHell, growing up with people telling me not to trust Wikipedia because anyone can put any unverified information on there they like (have they tried?), and only years later seeing them believe anything because it was posted on Facebook…

Linux@lemmy.ml•finally Margine OS ! My super fast and atomic linux distro ⚡️
1·4 months agoI concur, my 7-year old laptop can run most light DEs flawlessly, such as Cinnamon, XFCE and i3, no matter the Linux distro or kernel. It struggles with even a fresh Debian GNOME install.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•It is pretty cool how easy the internet and personal computers have made it to communicate with encryption
1·4 months agoWhich part made you say that? (genuine question, their comment just seems well written to me, is all)

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•"I've got demons to slay", sounds wayyy cooler than "I'm trying to better myself"

Are we talking about the same site? I know D and D Wiki has a lot of homebrew pages (usually marked as such, though sadly not always), but their link only contains material from Wizard’s books, no?
It is fan made, but for I can see only content from the actual books, so similar to 5e.tools.
EDIT wait you may have a point, I don’t see that spell on 5e.tools, it may be homebrew but not marked as such.
Look at Mr. Moneybags over here

I love Tekken but 130+GiB for one online versus game is absurd! I wonder how much smaller it’d be if the models, textures and UI elements were optimised for 1080p, too.

My favourite part is the updater and I miss it in other distros. I don’t always want to update blindly, I hate it about Windows and Arch and NixOS don’t fare much better OOTB. Mint’s updater shows you what can be updated, the from and to versions, how much data would be transferred, and most importantly the changelog of each part!
I genuinely appreciate I can go through these, uninstall anything I don’t use anymore and learn what new things will come to my computer!
At least having this option beats "Build 16553 is downloading several gigs over your hotspot, it’s important to do this now trust us” from Windows 😒
