Then let happen what needs to happen. The company does not have a simple and cheap solution for fighting bots. Maybe it is better they don’t have such protection.

Then don’t recommend it to others. Keep being ashamed of the cute, anime-style picture just because everyone else is embarrassed by it. But that’s not how the world’s problems get solved.

Then point out that their way of thinking is unprofessional without saying so directly. That’s what I would do, at least.
There is a way to use something like Anubis without having to deal with the image. But you need to handle it professionally.

If they can’t stay professional, be the one who does.

Interesting read. Many web applications today rely on client-side rendering, which can perform poorly. Why should users wait several seconds for a page to download, only to wait several more while it renders? In my case, I often have to enable JavaScript and reload the page because I block unknown JavaScript by default.
Another problem is when a web app aggressively probes for information such as installed extensions, as LinkedIn does. That can make the site laggy and practically unusable. But I suppose we could consider that malware anyway.

Glad that the JPEG XL is getting more support. Google already squandered its chance to take a principled stand when it dropped JPEG XL in favor of WebP.

Manual code isn’t magically bug-free. Judge the project by its quality, not whether AI helped write it.

Probably not an answer you’d like to see: I am using FeedFlow which supports bookmarking articles, having FreshRSS as the source of truth.
Thank you!
Paywalled. If anyone has access, I’d appreciate a quick summary.
I guess that’s not enough. Software needs to be more self-explanatory.
Should fediverse stay a niche “project” for idealists? Or should it become an actual alternative?

Well, AI forces people to rethink a broken economy.

When not sure, this site explains it well: https://choosealicense.com/
I think they have a professional offering. You can give them a bit of your money to have a proper branding as you like, or just remove it. The cost-free version is not primarily meant for commercial use. Just stop thinking a company is non-commercial.
It is simply stupid if the companies prejudge a project in such a way, although there would be an offer for them, which is made especially for commercial projects.
Edit: but I see that there are not very much advantages when a project does it like they do at Anubis.
