  • The car scene has changed since the 00s. Modifying cars is uniquely different than before. Social media has also pushed forums out of the way. You can connect with people on Instagram, Facebook, tiktok, reddit, and YouTube. Younger people are not into cars like we were. Cars are harder to get and modding a car brings it’s own set of issues which people don’t want to deal with.

I spent tons of time of acurazine when the 3rd Gen TL was out, I had a cl type s. The forums had tons of people, constantly working on their car, constant updates on works in progress. I would see a lot of modded Acuras on the road back then. I can’t tell you the last time I saw an Acura with any work done, at least on the newer ones.

The forums for the Colorado seem active, but there’s also a robust aftermarket for cars like that. I think that’s where you’ll see forums still exist. Back in the day you could find niche forums that were frequented by people looking on how to fix something or asking questions about their contour svt or something like that. Now you can find a video on YouTube or some answer on some archived thread. And God forbid you ask the question again, you’ll get locked and yelled at for doing so.
