Surely 2 steps forward and 1 step back, no? I felt like these last two games were 1 net-step forward with our record against Man City, the break and the performance at Chelsea all being factors.
Odegaard doesn’t have the game he had with Partey at 6. Or Rice there for the whole game. Rice was also really bad until he was moved to 6, he was missing passes and too high up the pitch to make recovery runs (because he was trying to find space beyond the Chelsea box). This was a tactical misstep.
Even in the post match interview he refused to answer anything on Ramsdale, just said the team. I feel like he’s destroyed Ramsdale completely and utterly, for such a marginal improvement as well. Oh well
