Imagine peak Ian Wright spearheading this team. The atmosphere at the Etihad is always so shit. Seriously I mean I know someone always throws that charge at most big teams, but it really is so bad for such a big game. Perhaps their huge recent success and the questionable manner in which it was achieved has put a bit of a damper on the excitement?

The charges hanging over Manchester City are bringing the whole Premier League competition into disrepute. Each game they and each trophy they win feels unearned and false until the charges are resolved and we know whether they were achieved fairly or not, and if not, what punishment is deemed appropriate for cheating. Right now there is a stench about the whole thing. And given it looks odds on that Man City’s likely fraudulently assembled squad is about to come out on top yet again, the PL would be wise to act before yet another lap of dishonour takes place.
