  • Totally. It’s on there just well enough that the force needed to take if off is bordering on that edge of “this doesn’t feel right” where something could totally go wrong. Thats why I just kept the battery in, I just didn’t feel good with how much effort it was taking to get it out, and the fact that that plate was in the way def didn’t help in terms of getting a good angle


  • Got mine today and dropped in my 2tb drive. I appreciate the change to torque screws, but boy that long ass ribbon cable across the whole internals, adhered to the plate covering the SSD is a pain. Didn’t even try to get the plate out. Then even with the tab, I couldn’t get the battery connection out. Just said fuck it and kept that in, put in the new drive and closed it out. Definitely not way more difficult, but a good deal more annoying.
