I never wanted the switch in the first place, so obviously I’m eager to see Ramsdale back in goal.

But there’s one more thing I never noticed about Raya before. Compared to Ramsdale, he feels so tiny, unatheltic and kinda slow on his feet. Yes, his positioning was bad for the Mudryk goal, but he was nowhere near that ball even when tried to backpedal. Same with the goal against Spurs, he couldn’t reach the ball propertly. There’s no way Raya is capable of making those saves against Liverpool last season, for example. Raya is less flashy, less erratic (although he has not been helping his case recently), but he isn’t amazing in any way and especially not when you need a miracle stop here and there - which is something title-contenders usually do.
