I really dont rate Xavi as a manager. So i think the overall performance of Barcelona is often subpar. Like even the games they won vs Osasuna, celta should have been losses. They are the team with most goals in last minutes. Just a few days ago he was down to Alaves at home. Needed a pen to win.

Like they play so boring, this playstyle is already a disgrace for Barca but if he doesnt win anything on top of it he is getting sacked. Maybe give Xabi a shot or De Zerbi.

I thought even last year he would be good because he had bits of good play. But Howe trusting him as a permenant starter has really upped his game.

Southgate calling him up is just gonna be hard because he is competing with Rashford, Foden and Grealish who all can play on the left. We know Gareth Southgate completely ignores form because he keeps calling up Rashford/Maguire/Kalvin Philips.

Maybe if both Rashford/Grealish are injured or Newcastle make some impressive run in champions league or the league.

Ya kinda weird Fabianski was starting all this time… Areola definitely got that extra big save in him compared to Fabianski.

They don’t really fall apart, if you look at their finishes they pretty much always finish 4th somehow. Last year was an anomaly but they have an experienced/old squad and you could tell midway through the season they started resting players in La Liga games for Europa League games.

Ramon Sanchez their stadium is also one of the loudest stadiums in Spain and it’s always full in European nights. For those who don’t watch La Liga they are similar to someone like Newcastle at home. They convincgly beat Manchester United, Juventus and Fenerbache there in EL last year. Those are all teams that finished higher than them in their leagues.

So I would say they are actually not that inconsistent except from 2022 to now. Before that they were extremely consistent at getting 4th. But their home stadium atmosphere is amazing thats why you see them get results vs like Real Madrid this season. So if they somehow make into Europa League they could still make a deep run.

Zlatan is complete fair to say what he said. He isn’t even being mean he is just saying the truth. Mario got so many fucking chances even till he was in France he played in top teams like Nice/Marseille. Because he had such brilliance. He truly was a complete strker, he could take on his man, had height power and great finishing + creativity.
