1·10 months agoIt’s the inner metal frame that adds a lot unnecessary weight. I’m not sure why they need it. If you open up an Ally, they get away with not having one. Moreover, I don’t even think it helps the structural integrity of the Steam Deck because both LCD and OLED versions I own has shell misalignment and weird creaky issues.
I wonder if I could swap the old board with the new. They aren’t the same, but worth a shot.
Maybe it’s just software. Did you try on a preview/beta build too?
Damn. Super disappointed. I wonder if the audio board can be swapped with the old one…
Including Cryobyte33 Utilities + 4GB VRAM enabled in BIOS, here’s the settings I use in Deep Rock Galactic: DX12, full screen, Vsync off, max fps off, FSR 2.0 - Balanced, texture resolution - ultra, shadow quality - medium, AA quality - high, post processing - high, effects - ultra, view distance - high/medium, bloom and lense flare on, and frame limit at 90hz in the steam deck settings (60hz on LCD).

I’ll get back to u with specific settings. I can get 60fps consistently while solo.
On my lcd steam deck… Everything high or ultra, draw distance mid.+ fsr balanced (sharpening about 100). Consistently get 60fps in solo, but rockpox drop fps. Coop is a different situation. Doesn’t matter who’s hosting lobby or what settings you’re using, fps isn’t consistent. I get back to u with specific settings.

Ugh no bueno. I have Sennheiser ie900 they I think are 16 ohms. That would explain something. I haven’t had much time, but I’m curious to see if I could just swap in the old LCD audio board.
