I’m way too late for this, and probably doesn’t matter, but I’m thinking people here aren’t really understanding the true nature of this. Ozil made it to the top XI, but for sure he deserves a spot here. Like someone else mentioned, this isn’t just about the worst players of the era, this is about who generated the most banter both on and off the pitch. Are we really going to forget all of the banter surrounding Ozil with the “he’s being played out of position” takes, the “everyone else sucks he’s the only good player” takes, and all the Turkey shit we saw from post-contract Ozil? Fuck, we probably still see an Erdogan best man meme occasionally.
